About KNEO

2011 was a great milestone for KNEO, but we can't live too much on past accomplishments. We learn from them, but we must move on to meet our next fields of harvests and face the battles that must be won.

God has always been faithful through so many of you, and now as 2012 kicks off we would like to share with you some of the highlights of the past year. In 2011, over 17,000 sermons were heard on KNEO.

This past year we also saw more people than ever visit www.kneo.org. In 2011, we had 79,488 hits on our website. That is an increase of 22,187 hits from the previous year. In 2011, we also added an additional way for people to listen to KNEO; besides listening on the radio and on the Internet, you can now listen to KNEO on your iPhone or Android phone via the KNEO iPhone and Android phone apps.

Our online listenership for sports broadcasting was up 50% in 2011 from 2010. In addition to that increase, KNEO's reach around the world grew significantly. In 2011, KNEO's website was visited from individuals around the world in places like Finland, Germany, India, New Zealand, Philippines, Switzerland, Australia, France, Spain, Russia, Japan, Canada, Sweden, Ghana, Ukraine, Mexico and many more. KNEO's website was also visited by almost every state in America. KNEO has a great opportunity to be positioned as a premier station for reaching the multitudes in the years ahead.

KNEO has been able to help other radio ministries around the world to reach individuals with the Gospel. In 2011, KNEO held an Awakening Crusade revival and plans to hold two more events this year- one in May and one in October.

As we move into 2012, KNEO will continue to expand our influence so we can make an impact for the Kingdom of God.

Our History

KNEO Radio began as 91.5 FM in 1986 by Abundant Life Assembly of God in Neosho, Mo.

Until 1990, KNEO operated as a 380 watt station for 12 hours each day from a 70-foot tower reaching about a 10-mile radius. In 1990, a translator was rented in Joplin, Mo., to rebroadcast KNEO's signal at 106.3 FM, nearly covering a 15-mile area.

In 1994, KNEO moved to its present location on Hwy 86, west of Neosho, and with the move KNEO changed its signal to 91.7 FM. KNEO began broadcasting with 2,760 watts of power from a 340-foot tower for 24 hours a day from a converted two-car garage, covering a 35-mile radius.

In 1998, an 8x20 space was added. In 2000, KNEO was purchased by Sky High Broadcasting Corporation.

By 2001, KNEO had added a 16x74 addition. In 2003, KNEO added a 20x20 storage addition.

In 2004, KNEO raised its power to 4,600 watts, now covering a 50-mile radius.

In 2005, KNEO built a 20x36 room on the south side of the station.

In 2008, KNEO was given the opportunity to expand its radio signal. KNEO's output power was increased to 14,000 watts and today covers a 65-mile radius in the Four-State area.

Plus, with the Internet's "Listen Live" option and broadcasting on the iPhone and Android cellphones via downloadable applications, KNEO can be heard all over the world.

From operating in two small rooms above a daycare center in 1986, God has taken small beginnings and expanded them to the world through the Internet and to the Four-State area of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Every day, KNEO reaches an area with a combined population of nearly 600,000 people. The possibilities for KNEO are still unlimited.

What We Believe: Our Statement of Faith

We believe that there is only one true God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, the only eternal God that has inspired men of old to pass down His words, that every one of these words has great meaning, and the words are alive to those that choose to follow them today.

We believe that God has given to His followers the Holy Spirit to direct every person who chooses to be directed by God, and that God gave His son, Jesus, as our substitute for sin for all mankind- so that through the death and resurrection of Jesus, any who will repent of their sins, turn from their wicked ways and surrender their lives to follow Jesus will be saved and obtain everlasting life at the end of their time on this earth.

We believe that through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, everyone who follows the Word of God has power and authority to live a victorious life over the sins of the flesh and evil.

We believe that God moves in miraculous ways; that Jesus is the only way for everlasting life; that all of the Bible is to be lived out as examples of the power of God through Jesus the Christ our Lord and Savior; and that because of our belief, we can change the world through the divine power of the great "I Am."

To broadcast the Word to the lost and struggling and equip and challenge the believer to be what God has created them to be.

We can't always allow our personal opinion to govern the ministry of KNEO. At times our ways are flawed, so we must rely on God's personal methods to dictate many of the operations of this ministry. We can never let emotions make decisions that affect so many other people.

Sky High Broadcasting cannot operate on our own intellect. This is too big of a responsibility for us to make our own. We cannot make personal decisions without regarding the consequences that they would have on others and without looking to the One who gave us the responsibility in the first place.

We must follow a set of guidelines for programming and other issues and they must be followed whether they are moral, personal or ethical situations. We must realize that we should never allow our own personal convictions to rule without considering others as well. But we will not violate the principals of the Bible.

We will not hide or comprise our beliefs as servants of God and will not vary from the assignments He has given us. We want to assure our listeners that when we are given comments, we do listen and evaluate what was said. Rest assured above all else we will always place the comments on the Masters desk before we put it on our own.

In the day we now live, it seems that hearing the Word of God is rare. Many substitutes are offered from many pulpits across the land, but here at KNEO our mission is clear: impact society, never compromise the message of the Gospel, and be flexible with the methods used to get the Word out. Times change and so do people, but God's Word never changes!

We now live in a day that is like no other. The people that will make an impact on this generation will be those that will see the need to fill the void and stand on the Word. There will be discontent, even in our own ranks at times, and some will want to challenge the Word and how it relates to today's world; however, here at KNEO, the Word stands firm, and from that we will broadcast daily. We must make prayer our number one priority and the study of the Bible the guide to accomplish the mission of Sky High Broadcasting.
